Rodeo season is here! I repeat, RODEO SEASON IS HERE!

I don’t know if you can tell, but I love the rodeo. I loved it even before I moved to Texas. Texas just made it that much easier to fuel that love. There’s a rodeo in San Antonio, Austin, Houston, and Dallas-Forth Worth (this rodeo already past for this year). And these rodeo’s are not for the light-hearted; they are most def “Texas-sized”! I try to go at least once a year. I’ve gone to all except the Dallas-Forth Worth one. Has anyone been? How was it? It’s definitely on my bucket list to go!

I’m not exactly sure what got me into rodeo’s, I mean I’m not a country girl. I will be the first to say I’m a city-slicker. But man, when those cowboys ride those bulls it just gets me all kinds of excited!

Because I don’t consider myself “country” it’s usually hard to find something to wear. And this year made it even harder because I had to part with my cowgirl boots last year and I haven’t yet found the perfect pair to take their place. Instead this year I went with a more casual look. I think the suede vest and turquoise jewelry had just enough country without screaming “I’m really trying here!”.

This year, my amazing day job gave me two tickets to the show of my choice. How amazing is that! We went to go see Sam Hunt and needless to say, he was A-MA-ZING!

Do you have plans to go to the rodeo this season? Which rodeo is your fav? Which artist are you most excited to see? Let me know in the comments below!
