I had the most relaxing time this weekend. Stayed in and just caught up on some much needed rest (and Netflix). We all need those weekends to just chill right? Especially when you have a busy week coming up! Also, it’s my last week before summer school starts next week. 🙁
So lately I’ve been working on networking and really getting to know some awesome people in my city! My search has lead to a lot of different organizations and functions that I think are worth checking out. This week is jam packed with events that I hope I can get to. If you’re in San Antonio, here’s some great events to check out this week!
Tuesday:
Startup Grind is a monthly startup networking event that highlights local entreprenuers and leaders in the startup space in San Antonio. Each event has an hour of networking and then the fireside chat, which this month presents Cat Dizon. Cat is Partner and COO of Active Capital, a venture firm based in Texas that is focused on leading seed rounds for B2B SaaS companies.
This event caught my attention because not only is it featuring a #GirlBoss this month, but it also seems like a great opportunity to meet other individuals who are interested in business and expanding in our community.
Wednesday
This event I WILL be going to. I mean c’mon, I get to bring my pup to a baseball game? I’m all about that! Plus, I’ve been meaning to go check out the San Antonio Missions anyways. It’s a win-win all around!
A networking event just for the ladies! It’s FREE and you don’t have to own a business to attend. Just bring your gorgeous self and meet other amazing women!
Thursday
Ash Ladies All White Spring Party + Shopping and Mingling
Another FREE event for ladies! And I’ve always wanted to attend an all white party! Networking, shopping, and drinking – sounds like a great chance to grab a few girls friends or make some new ones!
Hotel Emma always does fun little events like this, but they fill up so fast! This event is only $15 and they teach you how to cook with whiskey. I’ve tried cooking with wine before and it’s been great. Wonder how whiskey would taste… RSVP for this event now if you’re interested!
You already know where I’ll be Thursday night – it’s opening night for Solo! I got tickets for this weeks ago! Anyone else as excited for it as me?!?
Friday
The Spot on Houston: Summer Series
The Spot on Houston is a summer series that offers local food truck offerings, mobile businesses, musical artists and more during lunch on the last Fridays of May, June and July. The event is FREE and a great getaway from the office for lunch. The event runs from 10AM – 2PM.
Needless to say that National Wine Day is one of my favorite holidays, Jokesters 22 Pub N Grub is a new bar in Southtown that is trying to put their name on the map with this event. $10.00 will get you 6 wine samples and small appetizer pairings! Cheers!
Saturday
This event is FREE for all ages and runs from 12 – 8PM. You’ll get sampling salsas from the best commercial salsas, restaurants and locals in the state and get to vote for your favorite! The event is pet-friendly and will also include music, dancing, games and additional food for purchase.
Summer Kick Off Luau Theme Party
This is a family friendly luau party to kick off the summer. There will be vendors, food and drink booths, music and more! They are asking everyone to please bring new or gently used shoes for kids, women and men. As well as new socks. All donations will be given to the homeless living on the streets of downtown San Antonio. Get a complimentary ticket to this event by WEDNESDAY!
Sunday
Adult Ice Cream Floats at Ranger Creek
And finally, Sunday Funday! Ranger Creek Brewing and Distilling is bringing back a childhood favorite, grown-up style! They’ll have four different floats to choose from, two made with their beer and two others made with their whiskey. $5 for a small (one scoop), $8 for a large (two scoops). FREE for 21+ and pet friendly.
Phew! Even writing all that out got me exhausted. But totally worth it! Gotta get in as much as possible before it’s time to hit the books again!
Outfit Details: Top | Jeans | Crossbody | Shoes | Necklace
What holiday are you not supposed to wear white after? Memorial Day or Labor Day? I guess it doesn’t really matter because I love wearing white year round! And with an All White party coming up this week, I thought I’d share this look with you today! *The top is gray but can pass as white right? Hehe*
Why do I love white? Because it goes with EVERYTHING! You can dress it up for a clean crisp look, or dress it down for a casual summer look.
Will you be attending any of these events? If you see me there, please say hi! For more event information in the future be sure to like and follow my Facebook page! If you couldn’t tell, I use Facebook to find most of my events. 😉
Oh my goodness, I had no idea there were so many amazing things going on this week! Great roundup! I’m always looking for networking opportunities in SA! And you look adorable in those white jeans! They’re so perfect for summer!
Yes girl! And thank you! I hope to meet you at an event some time!
