Parker Canyon Lake
When you think summer, you think lake or pool. Especially in hot states like Texas or Arizona. But seeing how dry it is here, I didn’t think Arizona had many bodies of water. Little did I know there was a lake just an hour car ride away!
We packed up our cars, put on our bathing suits and headed out for a day at Parker Canyon Lake.
We left at 7:30am to be at the park shortly after they opened (8am). We wanted to beat the crowds, not that there is many at during this time, and to beat the heat.
Parker Canyon Lake rents out kayaks, stand-up paddle boards, and peddle boats. We got one of each – one two person kayak, one peddle boat, and one large stand-up paddle board that fits 6! Prices are fairly reasonable and rentals can be from 1-8 hours. Or bring your own boat if you have it.
We just went for the day, but they also have campsites and fishing available.
Have you ever been to Parker Canyon Lake? Any other Arizona lakes you enjoy? Share with me below!

PS. Check out my video below to see our day at the lake, along with some awesome drone footage of the park. It was filled with a lot of swimming and cliff jumping.
